Welcome to SPST, School of Physical Science and Technology  at Southwest Jiaotong University.

Founded in 1948 as the teaching and research section for Physics Education, we have since grown from a section to a Department and now to a School that is one of the University's premier academic institutions for the study of physics.

Our internationally recognized faculties bring our vision to life through cutting-edge research that spans fundamental science to real-world collaborations.

These research programs also serve as a training ground for the many exceptional students in our high-quality graduate and undergraduate programs. Many graduates go on to highly successful careers and pursue master’s and doctorate degrees in top graduate schools. We are proud to count some of the top minds in the industries among our alumni.
