On the afternoon of June 5th, 2023, the leadership team of the School of Physical Science and Technology held the fifth centralized theoretical study session on the theme education reading group of studying and implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The leadership team members carefully read the original works, studied the original texts, and understood the original principles. All members of the leadership team attended the study and discussion, with Party Secretary Liu Yu presiding and Vice Dean Li Xiangqiang leading the study.
At the reading group, Vice Dean Li Xiangqiang led the study of "Selected Excerpts from Xi Jinping's Speeches on Investigative Research." He explained the important statements on investigative research, the work plan for investigative research, and how to improve investigative research capabilities.
After the study, the members of the leadership team discussed their learning outcomes and experiences in conducting investigative research work related to the theme education. Party Secretary Liu Yu pointed out that as members of the leadership team, they should work hard to improve their investigative research capabilities, understand the local situation, develop targeted measures, insist on going deep into the grassroots, be close to teachers and students, and do practical things. They should also be good at summarizing and guiding work based on small and medium-sized things, and share relevant work cases in the school.
Investigative research is the foundation and the way to success in decision-making. Without investigative research, there is no right to speak and no decision-making power. Investigative research is the treasure of our party and the basic skill for doing well in all work. The school's Party committee requires leadership team members to deeply understand the importance of investigative research, combine learning with investigative research, apply theory to practice, guide practice, study new situations, solve new problems, enhance reform and innovation capabilities, and promote the development of the school.
