On the morning of June 21st, 2023, the School of Physical Science and Technology held a general meeting for all faculty and staff in conference room 30334 of Xipu Campus. The meeting was attended by the school's party committee secretary Liu Yu, Vice President (in charge of work) Jia Huanyu, other members of the leadership team, and all faculty and staff. The meeting was presided over by Guo Jian, the deputy secretary of the school's party committee and vice president.
Vice President Li Jinlong and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Guo Jian introduced the new teachers and counselors who joined the school in 2023, and everyone welcomed them. Party Secretary Liu Yu gave a special lecture on the theme of "building a strong education country and cultivating teacher ethics and style" for all faculty and staff. Starting from General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse and instructions on education, he pointed out the importance of building a strong education country and the historical responsibility that universities shoulder. Secretary Liu Yu emphasized that all faculty and staff should use the "Ten Guidelines for Professional Conduct of Higher Education Teachers in the New Era" as a standard, improve their own cultivation, and consciously implement the fundamental task of moral education. Liu Yu also emphasized the need to further implement the "strengthening the school with talents" initiative, strengthen the construction of teacher ethics and style, and cultivate a team of teachers with good political quality, reasonable structure, and strong scientific research and teaching capabilities. The members of the school's leadership team summarized their respective work and arranged for the next stage of key work. Vice President Jia Huanyu, who presided over the work, emphasized in his summary speech that all faculty and staff should firmly establish a sense of safety. He made detailed work arrangements for the school's key work, especially in scientific research and professional construction. At the same time, he expressed that the achievements the school has made in recent years cannot be separated from the hard work of every faculty and staff member. He hopes that all teachers will continue to unite and work together to contribute to the prosperity and development of the school.
