To broaden employment channels, promote school-enterprise cooperation, give full play to alumni resources to serve the development of the school, and implement the special action of visiting enterprises to expand employment opportunities, from November 24th to 26th, Chen Yanfeng, director of the Recruitment and Employment Office, Li Zhuohui, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Physics, and Wei Zhenxing, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, went to Xiamen City and Quanzhou City to visit enterprises, alumni, hold talks, and conduct field inspections to gain a deep understanding of the employment situation of graduates, alumni development, and unit employment needs, strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, and expand employment channels and employment positions for graduates.
On the afternoon of November 24th, Director Chen Yanfeng and his delegation held a communication symposium with China Railway 11th Bureau at the No. 6 Rail Transit Electromechanical Construction Fourth Work Zone Project of the Xiamen Signal and Communication Company. Director Chen Yanfeng introduced the basic situation of Jiaotong University, campus recruitment, and employment of graduates, and thanked the 11th Bureau for providing a good platform for many Jiaotong students to work and start businesses. He hoped that the school and enterprises would further expand their cooperation channels. Hu Xiaoyin, deputy director of the Human Resources Department of China Railway 11th Bureau Group Corporation, introduced the basic situation of the enterprise, the development of Jiaotong students, and the recruitment situation of the group, and discussed and exchanged views with Director Chen and his delegation on the direction of school-enterprise cooperation such as production practice, talent exchange, employment guidance, and joint construction of customized classes, and reached a preliminary intention of cooperation. At the symposium, some alumni representatives of the 11th Bureau made exchange speeches.
On November 25th, Director Chen Yanfeng and his delegation attended the annual meeting of the Xiamen Alumni Association, awarded the internship base for college students, and had in-depth exchanges with alumni to understand the development of alumni enterprises, the absorption of graduates by alumni enterprises, the employment needs and recruitment situation of alumni enterprises, and actively expand employment channels and employment positions for graduates. Director Chen said that alumni are the best business card of the alma mater. Alumni are not only nourished by the spirit and culture of the school, but also important inheritors and pioneers of the university spirit. He expressed his respect to the alumni who practice the spirit of Jiaotong University and his heartfelt thanks to the alumni who care and support the development of the alma mater. He hoped that alumni would continue to care and support the development of the alma mater and help the alma mater’s graduates to achieve full and high-quality employment.
On the morning of November 26th, Director Chen Yanfeng, Li Zhuohui, and Wei Zhenxing conducted a field inspection of Quanzhou Julong Foreign Language School, visited Huang Hanxin, a student of our school who will join the school in 2023, and learned about her accommodation conditions, salary treatment, and work situation. Huang Hanxin expressed her gratitude to the alma mater for her cultivation and was very happy that the alma mater’s teachers came to visit her. Director Chen said that alumni are the image ambassadors and publicity ambassadors of the alma mater, and are the best business cards for candidates, parents, and society to understand the alma mater. He hoped that she would actively help the alma mater’s enrollment and employment work. At the symposium with Julong Foreign Language School, Ao Baosheng, vice president of the school, introduced the school’s history of running schools, talent training concepts, quality requirements for teachers, and teacher employment needs. Director Chen Yanfeng and Secretary Li Zhuohui focused on the professional needs of teachers at Julong Foreign Language School, and introduced the situation of graduates of relevant majors in the School of Physics, Life Sciences, Foreign Languages, Mathematics, and Humanities, hoping to deepen the supply-demand docking and achieve common development through this visit.
