On the morning of September 10, the School of Physical Science and Technology held a seminar titled "Promoting the Spirit of Educators and Courageously Shouldering the Mission of Strengthening Education for the Nation" in meeting room X30323 to celebrate Teacher's Day and welcome new faculty members. The meeting was attended by the college leadership team, department heads, newly hired teachers, as well as representatives from both young and experienced faculty. The seminar was chaired by Li Zhuohui, the Party Secretary of the college.

Li Zhuohui first expressed her sincere gratitude and high respect on behalf of the college's Party, government, and labor union to the faculty who are dedicated to the fundamental task of moral education and committed to teaching and nurturing students. She extended a warm welcome to the young teachers who have recently joined the family of the School of Physical Science and Technology. Li led the attendees in learning about the spirit of educators and revisiting the "Ten Guidelines for the Professional Conduct of University Teachers in the New Era." She encouraged everyone to be guided by the spirit of educators, becoming the beloved "Four-Haves" teachers for students and great mentors in their academic and personal pursuits, contributing to national construction and the rejuvenation of the nation by nurturing a new generation of talent.

During the experience-sharing session, tailored to the college's context and the needs of teachers, representatives Duan Junbing and Liu Qijun shared their successful experiences in applying for the National Natural Science Foundation's Young Scientist Project and General Project, respectively, to support the growth of young teachers in research and education. To enhance the teaching and nurturing abilities of young faculty, Professor Gao Xiaorong, a recipient of the "Teaching and Nurturing Award," shared insights on "How to Teach a Good Class." Professor Liu Qijun, also a recipient of the "Teaching and Nurturing Award," emphasized during his sharing that dedicating time to students is the key to cultivating them effectively.

In closing, Dean Jia Huanyu encouraged all faculty members to cultivate a sense of patriotism and enhance personal moral development, remain true to their original aspirations, and dedicate themselves to their work. He emphasized the importance of maintaining tranquility and perseverance in their endeavors. Dean Jia called on all faculty to strengthen their sense of mission and responsibility, improve self-cultivation, and earnestly implement the fundamental task of moral education to better support the development of the university and the college.
