In order to better promote the spirit of educators, appreciate the profound historical heritage of the university, and further strengthen the faculty development within the school, the School of Physical Science and Technology organized a tour and practice activity titled "Exploring Library Collections and Understanding Educators' Spirit" on the afternoon of September 29, coinciding with the upcoming 75th anniversary of the founding of New China.

After listening to the library staff's introduction about the historical changes of the university, faculty and students gathered in front of the Academician Wall to learn about the remarkable achievements of outstanding representatives from the university's century-long history. Zheng Jiang, the Secretary of the Library Party Committee, and Li Zhuohui, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Physical Science and Technology, introduced the background and significance of the activity, calling on everyone present to deeply understand the spirit of educators through the precious library collections.

Under the guidance of the staff, faculty and students attentively listened to the stories behind each piece of library collection, including the engineering drawings of the Qiantang River Bridge compiled by Mr. Mao Yisheng, his master's thesis from Cornell University, the "Journal of Tang College," and course lecture notes by Mr. Sun Xunfang. Each document is imbued with the university's rich history and serves as a true embodiment of the spirit of educators practiced by generations of university students.

Participants expressed their commitment to better promote the university's spirit of "Seeking Truth and Pursuing Excellence, Self-Reliance and Perseverance" in their future studies and lives, ensuring that the spirit of educators is passed down from generation to generation.
