Recently, the epidemic prevention and control situation in Chengdu is severe. In order to protect the safety of teachers and students and ensure the smooth development of teaching work, our school's teaching work is temporarily carried out online. On November 9, 2021, Guo Jian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Physics and Technology, Wei Zhenxing and all the counselors of Students’ Affairs Office of the School of Physics visited student dormitories to learn about the online learning, psychological and living conditions of the students during the epidemic. At the same time, the dormitory epidemic prevention work inspection and epidemic prevention must-know during the epidemic prevention and control period was carried out. During the visit, the school leaders and counselors checked the online learning status, talked with the students and checked the possible safety hazards in the dormitory one by one. They communicated cordially with the students to understand the questions and doubts encountered in online learning and daily lives, provided realistic answers and necessary psychological counseling. For the prevention and control of the epidemic, they emphasized the cleanliness and hygiene of the dormitory as well as the ventilation of the dormitory, reminding everyone to ventilate more, wash their hands frequently and wear masks in public. Meanwhile, they emcourgaed students to become more self-disciplined and efficient in online learning, paying attention to search for useful techniques.
Through this dormitory visit, it was found that the students’ mental and learning conditions were quite good and the health and safety conditions of the dormitory were generally good.
During the inspection, the school also made detailed records of the problems in individual dormitories, gave warnings to related dormitories and put forward specific requirements for improvement within a limited time.
