On the afternoon of May 25th, 2023, the Party Branch of Electronic Information Science and Technology of the School of Physical Science and Technology held a theme party day activity of "Learning Ideology, Strengthening Party Spirit, Emphasizing Practice, and Building New Achievements" in room X30326 of the Xipu campus. This theme party day activity focused on "General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Discourse on Education." Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of new ideas, new viewpoints, and new measures on education from the political height of cultivating socialist builders and successors, systematically answering fundamental and directional issues related to education work, and forming General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on education. Moral education is the fundamental task of education. Education should play an important role in cultivating and practicing the socialist core values, nurturing new people with a sense of historical responsibility and lofty ideals, and providing strong talent support for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. At the same time, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has taken a series of strategic measures and transformative practices, and has made breakthrough progress and landmark achievements since the 18th National Congress. The reform of higher education focuses on shifting from the factor development view to the overall development view, facing the new journey. We will adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and contribute to higher education and talent cultivation.
Finally, the attending party members conducted discussions and exchanges on the theme of "Learning Ideology, Strengthening Party Spirit, Emphasizing Practice, and Building New Achievements", combined with recent ideological education in courses, first-class professional construction, and teacher team construction, providing good ideas for the mutual integration of the branch and department center work.
