On the afternoon of June 13th, 2023, the School of Physical Science and Technology held the 4th collective study (expanded) on learning and implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era by the theoretical learning center group of the theme education. The study was held in the meeting room 30345 of Xipu Campus. Members of the theoretical learning center group, members of the leadership team, and the Party branch of the administrative office of the school participated in the study, which was chaired by Liu Yu, the secretary of the school's Party committee.During the study, Secretary Liu Yu led the study of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the fifth collective study of the Central Political Bureau. Vice Secretary and Vice Dean Guo Jian conveyed the spirit of the exchange symposium on theme education for non-Central government-managed universities, the meeting of the theme education leadership group of the Ministry of Education, Huai Jinping's speech at the video conference on the exchange symposium on theme education for universities directly under the Ministry of Education, and the document "On Seriously Studying and Implementing the Important Speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping, Deeply Understanding the Important Requirements of Enhancing Intelligence through Learning, and Promoting the Deepening and Solid Implementation of Theme Education"and the notice "On Learning and Applying the Experience of the Zhejiang 'Demonstration of One Thousand Villages, Improvement of Ten Thousand Villages Project' in Theme Education". Vice Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Wei Zhenxing conveyed the spirit of the Ministry of Education's work on teacher ethics and professional conduct construction and the launching of centralized learning and education on teacher ethics.
During the meeting, members of the theoretical learning center group and the leadership team exchanged views on the study content and related practical situations of the school. Secretary Liu Yu pointed out that we should fully understand the significance of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, deeply understand the connotation and essence of "enhancing intelligence through learning," and promote the deepening and solid implementation of theme education in the school. The concept, methods, and experience contained in the "Demonstration of One Thousand Villages, Improvement of Ten Thousand Villages Project" that General Secretary Xi Jinping personally planned, deployed, and promoted during his work in Zhejiang have important guiding significance for the governance and promotion of our key work in the school. Regarding the requirements of the Ministry of Education for strengthening the Party building of teachers and ideological and political work, and the construction of teacher ethics and professional conduct, we should improve our position, strengthen our learning and understanding, and strengthen the publicity and education among teachers in the school.
