7 a.m.on September 10, 2020, The welcoming work of freshmen in school of Physics science and technology in Southwest Jiao Tong University was conducted in the Xi Pu campus.
The main staff of the welcoming campaign consists of diaphysis students from various mass organizations in the department.The welcoming work has been carried out in order, with guidance of teachers.
The freshmen of 2020 arrived in the school, being heavy with dreams and the longing of the future university life, adding refreshing energy to the department of Physics.
At 7 a.m. on the morning, there arrived the very first student, warmly welcomed by the department. The staff helped the freshman conduct the admissions process in accordance with the o
rder “distributing related materials ,collecting information, reaching confirming”. Later, with continuous arrival of students, volunteers made great efforts to make sure the welcome work conducted well, and the freshmen felt considerate love.
At 9 a.m., Liu Yu, Party Secretary of the department, together with Guo Jian, Dean of college of Physics, came in person to check the registration on the spot.They were in joint agreement of the conduction of the orientation campaign and extended their great appreciation and care to the related faculties and volunteers.
Secretary Liu Yu also expressed his best wishes and encouragement to the freshmen of 2020.To start with, he extended his welcome to the news, and he said : "Compared with high school, university learning is a big difference, the students must timely make the conversion between them. Also adapt to college life as soon as possible, for the university of learning is more of autonomous learning, and we should learn to plan. In addition, we should also appropriately participate in club activities and sports activities, so as to be a new youth with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics and labor. In addition to planning for study and life, you should also make a plan for your future. Finally, I wish the new students of grade 20 a happy and beautiful college life like the blue sky and white clouds."
At 14:50 PM, Secretary Liu Yu and Deputy Secretary Guo Jian came to the welcome site to inspect the work. Secretary Liu Yu checked the welcome package prepared by the college for the freshmen and inquired about the freshman registration.
At 15:40 PM, Wang Shunhong, Party secretary of SWJTU, and Yang Dan, President of SWJTU came to welcome the new students to the School of Physical Science and Technology. Yang Dan asked about the work of welcoming new students. After acknowledging the work, he also told the counselors and volunteers to take a rest. Wang also praised the volunteers for their orderly work process and conscientious attitude.
Lastly, Secretary Liu Yu and Secretary Guo Jian took a photo with the freshmen, volunteers and teachers at the welcoming point.
