Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee issued the "Notice on the Approval of the Establishment of 510 New Postdoctoral Research Mobile Stations, including Philosophy at Northeast Normal University" (Letter from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security [2023] No. 108). We are delighted to announce that our school has been approved to establish the "Physics Postdoctoral Research Mobile Station."
The discipline of physics at our school obtained the authorization to confer doctoral degrees in 2016. In 2023, the discipline of physics entered the top 1% in the ESI rankings. In the 2023 US News World University Subject Rankings, the primary discipline of physics at our school made the list, being one of the 16 disciplines from Southwest Jiaotong University included in the rankings.
The approval to establish the "Physics Postdoctoral Research Mobile Station" marks another breakthrough in the construction of our school's discipline platform. It not only recognizes the academic and research capabilities of the school but also enhances the talent development and faculty training system in the field of physics, providing a solid platform for the rapid development of the school's discipline.
The Physics Postdoctoral Research Mobile Station will focus on the forefront of the discipline, aligning with national strategic needs. It will play a crucial role in advancing discipline construction, talent cultivation, attracting and nurturing high-level talents, and elevating research standards.
