In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Xi Jinping's new era of socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics, implement the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and talent, and put the work concept of "strengthening teaching, enhancing scientific research, revitalizing disciplines, and nurturing new talents" proposed by the college's party congress into practice, promote the ideological and political construction of teachers, the construction of teacher ethics and style, and the improvement of professional abilities. The School of Physical Science and Technology plans to carry out the first "Excellent Teachers in Education and Teaching" selection in 2023, to promote the emergence of "four-have" good teachers, and to select exemplary frontline teachers who are loyal to the cause of education, dedicated to their work, and devoted to nurturing students. The relevant notice is as follows:
I. Scope of selection
Full-time teachers who have worked in the School of Physical Science and Technology for more than three years.
II. Selection criteria
Strong political qualities, adhering to the "four unswerving adherences" and consciously practicing the "four unifications". Possessing a strong sense of professionalism and a high sense of responsibility, having noble teacher ethics, rigorous scholarship, and a good teaching style, being an exemplary teacher, consciously assuming the responsibility of guiding and leading students' healthy growth, aspiring to become a "great teacher", setting an example for students in learning, work, and life, and promoting students' all-round development.
Strictly implementing various rules and regulations, no teaching accidents in the past three years, and a record of participation in teaching and research activities not less than 80%.
Willing to actively undertake the teaching tasks arranged by the college and the department, and conscientiously complete the teaching work. In the past three years, they have taught at least one course or more per semester, meeting the basic teaching workload stipulated by the college. They have a high level of teaching, good teaching effectiveness, outstanding student learning achievements, and their teaching evaluation is in the forefront of similar courses.
Having a good spirit of teamwork, actively participating in the construction and guidance work of the college's disciplines, majors, courses, teaching materials, discipline competitions, scientific and technological innovation projects, and paper guidance, and achieving significant results, which are widely recognized by teachers and students.
Being dedicated to teaching and caring for students, strict with students while treating them kindly, being a good teacher and friend to students, and using sincerity and kindness to educate and influence people, with outstanding achievements and advanced examples in guiding students and inspiring them to achieve their goals.
III. Selection quota
A total of five "Excellent Teachers in Education and Teaching" will be selected in 2023, including two from the Physics Department, one each from the Applied Physics Department and the Department of Electronic Information Science and Technology, and one graduate supervisor.
IV. Evaluation Committee
In order to ensure orderly and fair selection, an evaluation committee will be established, and the members are as follows:

V. Selection procedure
(I) Application stage (deadline August 25)
Teachers who meet the conditions should do a good job of self-recommendation or be recommended by their departments and branches before the deadline.
(II) Preliminary evaluation stage (before September 1)
The departments, party branches, and graduate education and teaching service centers recommend candidates for "Excellent Teachers in Education and Teaching" by unit. The Physics Department can recommend three candidates, and the Applied Physics Department, the Department of Electronic Information Science and Technology, and the Graduate Education and Teaching Service Center can each recommend two candidates. Candidates need to submit materials within 600 words around the selection criteria.
(III) Defense stage (before September 5)
Teachers who have passed the preliminary evaluation will participate in the final evaluation defense organized by the college. The defense time is five minutes.
(IV) Approval (before September 9)
The defense results will be submitted to the joint meeting of the party and government for approval.
VI. Commendation and reward
Certificates and awards will be presented to the "Excellent Teachers in Education and Teaching", and relevant publicity activities will be carried out.
